Kellie Martin, an American actress and filmmaker most well-known for her role as Christy Huddleston on the period drama "Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the show about family Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. Her other roles of note include the title role of the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Martin started her acting career when she was just seven. Her aunt, who was the nanny for actor Michael Landon's children, was a big help in landing her one small part on the TV show Father Murphy. After her graduation of Yale University, she took acting seriously and was able to land significant roles both on the small and the large screen. Martin is a professional actress in addition to a gifted dancer and photographer, has been in the industry for more than twenty years. She is a mom of two, and also the official spokesperson for Lupus. Since her 19 year old sister's passing Martin has been trying to educate people about the disease.
